I was showing my new to Chicago girlfriend what summertime nights were like!

What Happened in This Moment?

Started at my brotha Rico’s house who was letting us stay there. Me, my biological mother & my lady at the time went to the Basement where my friends & my mothers mentee were performing all night!

What Changed for you because of this moment?

My mother’s mentee (and my friend) announces us as Chicago royalty & the crowd splits like the Red Sea & I get on stage to wow the crowd! I accepted my cemented spot in my city!

I felt chosen. I had no $$ at the time & was wondering how I was going to show my lady all the shit I’d been talking about summertime Chi. Chi showed up in a big way & had me in tears! It was epic af!!
