I was working customer service in a print a lab.

What Happened in This Moment?

I had no friends or family when I gave birth to my first kid, but I was working at print shop. The women there threw me a surprise baby shower after I returned to work after the birth, which back then had been two weeks and my paid vacation time. I had a great time and got lots of diapers, which I could barely afford!

What Changed for you because of this moment?

It made me understand the importance of women in your life and how little it takes to be kind.

I felt special, which is something I don't feel often. I also felt valued as a member of our team because my boss had no idea how to care for us as people.
