Son, Where is My Cat?

Put that moment on an intersection of Feeling & Noun:

I am at home asking my son where my cat was.
I was informed my cat had passed and I got home to no cat.
I got a call that my cat had passed and that my son and his father were going to bury it. I arrived to the house to not find a burial site and instead a cat wrapped in a mothers day tshirt and placed in the trash. I was crushed.
My son was not a little boy anymore.
I guess it's the first memory I have of my son lying to me about something.
